| Artist's Statement |
When I learned how to throw my first pot in 1986, I had no idea that my life would evolve into a "pottery-lifestyle". Peach Tree Pottery opened its doors in 1999 as a way for me to practice throwing pots and maybe teach a few people along the way to enable me to pay for my growing pot--tery addiction.
As Peach Tree Pottery has expanded, I was able to take a leap of faith to release myself from my full time work obligations.
Peach Tree Pottery has now become my full-time passion:
teaching a full range of classes for adults and children; providing an opportunity for emerging artists to display and sell their art work; and the establishment of the Morton Mechanic Scholarship Fund which provides pottery classes for children and other individuals in need of extracurricular art activities in the community.
My art has been a creative outlet and a way to integrate myself and Peach Tree Pottery into the community.
Please enjoy these handcrafted pieces that have been specifically created for the inspirational project. |
